Frühburgunder R 2018

Frühburgunder, a variation of Spätburgunder, is only cultivated by very few winegrowers in Germany. This demanding varietal produces limited yields, averaging around 22 hectoliters per hectare, making it a true diva to grow.

“Compared to the finer Pinot Noir, the Frühburgunder is spicier and has darker berries and is slightly smokier. Overall, the wine is stronger, it is incredibly complex and often has the taste of dark chocolate,” says Fürst.

“This filigree dancer ignites a top-class aromatic firework display.” says Gerstel.

The wine in the Centtrafenberg site grows on ferrous federal sandstone.
Drinking recommendation: 2020 to 2030 +.

The wine can be purchased from GT Rosentahl. This wine is also available as a magnum bottle.
